Upcycled Thrift Store Finds Round-Up
I love going to a thrift store and finding a bargain for my home. I love to find outdated items and upcycle them into something that looks current and new. Heading to a thrift store without an idea in mind can be a little daunting, so I’ve rounded up 7 of my favorite upcycled projects from the At Home DIY Challenge.
Upcycled Thrift Store Finds
Randi from Dukes and Duchesses created the coolest light fixture from an old fan! She found an old fan cover, added a light kit and some spray paint, and she created the coolest upcycled light fixture!
For those of you Anthropologie-obsessed like me, but on a tight budget (also like me), Anam from Delicious and DIY created a knock-off Anthropologie vase. She essentially spent $1 on a vase and made the most amazing piece!
Textiles are all the rage this season, and Marianne from Songbird blog created a DIY Yarn Wall Hanging. She found some cheap “Grandma curtains” at the thrift store and added her own spin to them. It’s giving me all of the boho vibes!
Just in time for spring, Vinetta from The Handyman’s Daughter created a DIY Potting Bench. This bench was created from Vineta reimagining her son’s toy chest and upcycling it into something new!
Maureen from Red Cottage Chronicles created a project just in time for Easter! She created these from a thrifted men’s buffalo check shirt!
For some DIY artwork, Sherry from Savvy Apron upcycled a modern art piece from a canvas she found at a thrift store.
Carmen from Living Letter Home created an adorable spring wreath using a hula hoop, spray paint, and some faux flowers.
